Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant Sandwich
Ingredients:
2 large croissants, split in half
4 slices of bacon
2 large eggs
2 slices of cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon olive oil (for cooking bacon)
Directions:
Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
Add the bacon slices to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until crispy and golden brown. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
In the same skillet, add the olive oil and crack the eggs into the pan. Cook the eggs to your preference—sunny side up, scrambled, or over-easy—seasoning with salt and pepper as they cook.
While the eggs cook, cut the croissants in half and toast them in a separate pan or toaster until golden and crispy.
Once the eggs are cooked, place a slice of cheese on top of each egg and cover the pan for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese.
Assemble the sandwich by layering the crispy bacon, cheesy egg, and croissant halves together.
Serve immediately for a delicious, buttery breakfast or brunch!
