Strawberry Buttermilk Pound Cake
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 large eggs
½ cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 loaf pan.
Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in vanilla extract.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
Fold in the chopped strawberries carefully.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
