Ingredients:
– Waffle batter:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– 1 and 3/4 cups buttermilk
– 2 large eggs
– 1/4 cup melted butter
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– Toppings:
– 1 cup pizza sauce
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1 cup sliced pepperoni
– 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
– Garlic Butter Syrup:
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1/4 cup maple syrup
– Salt to taste

Instructions:
1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
5. Grease the waffle iron and pour the batter into it, cooking until golden brown.
6. While the waffles cook, heat pizza sauce gently until warm.
7. Once waffles are ready, immediately sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top to melt slightly.
8. Top with slices of pepperoni and a sprinkle of fresh basil.
9. For the syrup, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sautรฉ until fragrant.
10. Stir in the maple syrup and a pinch of salt, heating until warm.
