Ingredients:
1 ยฝ cups all-purpose flour
2 ยฝ teaspoons baking powder
ยฝ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 ยผ cups milk (any type)
1 egg
3 tablespoons melted butter (or vegetable oil)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
1. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
2. Prepare Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract (if using). Stir well.
3. Combine
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently mix until just combinedโdon’t overmix! A few lumps are okay.
4. Heat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.
5. Cook the Pancakes
Pour about ยผ cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set (about 2-3 minutes). Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
