Ingredients:
– 1 ¾ cups (220g) whole wheat flour
– 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
– ½ teaspoon baking soda
– ¾ cup (150g) sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– ½ teaspoon salt
– ½ cup (120ml) unsweetened applesauce
– ¼ cup (60ml) vegetable oil
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– ½ cup (120ml) milk

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
3. In another bowl, mix together the applesauce, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the batter.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
