Homemade Baileys Ice Cream – Creamy, Boozy, & Irresistible!
Indulge in this rich and velvety homemade Baileys ice cream, packed with the smooth flavors of Irish cream, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate. Perfect for an adults-only treat! Ingredients:
2 cups (480ml) heavy cream
1 cup (240ml) whole milk
¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
½ cup (120ml) Baileys Irish Cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 egg yolks (for extra creaminess)
½ cup mini chocolate chips (optional) Instructions:
Make the Ice Cream Base:
In a saucepan, heat heavy cream, milk, and sugar over medium heat until warm (but not boiling). Temper the Egg Yolks:
Whisk egg yolks in a separate bowl. Slowly add a ladle of warm cream mixture while whisking. Then, pour back into the saucepan and stir until slightly thickened. Add Baileys & Vanilla:
Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Stir in Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract. Chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours. Churn the Ice Cream:
Pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until thick and creamy. Fold in chocolate chips if using. Freeze & Serve:
Transfer to a container and freeze for 4-6 hours until firm. Scoop and enjoy! Tip: Drizzle with chocolate sauce or serve in a waffle cone for an extra indulgent treat!
