Boozy Cotton Candy Candy Apples

Boozy Cotton Candy Candy Apples
Ingredients:
6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
6 lollipop sticks or candy apple sticks
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup pink liqueur (e.g., Strawberry Liqueur, Chambord, or a flavored vodka)
Pink food coloring (optional, for vibrant color)
Cotton candy (pink, blue, and white for garnish)
Sanding sugar or edible glitter (optional, for sparkle)
Instructions:
Prepare the Apples:

Wash and dry the apples thoroughly, ensuring no wax remains on the skin.
Insert a lollipop or candy stick into the stem of each apple.
Make the Candy Coating:

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, and corn syrup. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Attach a candy thermometer to the saucepan and allow the mixture to boil until it reaches 300°F (hard-crack stage).
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the pink liqueur and pink food coloring, mixing gently. Be cautious, as the mixture will bubble slightly.
Coat the Apples:

Carefully dip each apple into the hot candy mixture, tilting the saucepan to coat the apple evenly.
Allow excess candy to drip off before placing the apple onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and harden.
Add the Cotton Candy Garnish:

Once the candy coating has set, fluff a small amount of cotton candy and carefully press it onto the top of each apple, around the stick.
Sprinkle with sanding sugar or edible glitter for added sparkle.
Serve:

Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 24 hours (the cotton candy may shrink over time).
