Homemade Peach Ice Cream
Ingredients:
– 2 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
– 1 cup white sugar
– 1 pint half-and-half cream
– 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
– 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 2 cups whole milk, or as needed
Directions:
1. Start by dicing those fresh peaches and mixing them with sugar in a bowl. Let them sit and mingle while you prepare the rest of your ingredients.
2. In another bowl, combine the half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla. Once it’s all mixed up, fold in the peach-sugar mixture. Stir everything together until well combined.
3. Pour this delicious concoction into a gallon ice cream freezer container. Top it off with enough whole milk to reach the fill line, which will usually be about 2 cups.
4. Now, just follow your ice cream maker’s manufacturer instructions to freeze your divine creation.
5. Pro tip: chilling the container beforehand can help your ice cream harden faster. Trust me, it’s worth it!
