Apple Upside Down Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1. 2 apples (red or green)
2. 100g sugar
3. 50g butter
4. 2 eggs
5. 100g sugar (for the batter)
6. 100ml milk
7. 150g baking flour
8. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
9. 1 pinch salt
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a round cake pan with butter.
Prepare the Apples:
2. Peel and slice the apples into thin wedges.
3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then add 100g sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
4. Add the sliced apples to the butter-sugar mixture and cook until they are slightly softened. Arrange the apples in the bottom of the cake pan.
Make the Batter:
5. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and 100g sugar until light and fluffy.
6. Add the milk, flour, vanilla essence, and salt. Mix until smooth.
Bake the Cake:
7. Pour the batter over the arranged apples in the cake pan.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
10. Carefully invert the cake onto a serving plate, allowing the apple layer to become the top.
Serve:
11. Slice and serve the Apple Upside Down Cake warm or at room temperature.
