Cajun Honey Butter Salmon
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons honey
2 garlic cloves, minced
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
Season the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
Sear the Salmon: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, skin-side down (if they have skin), and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is almost cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Honey Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and allow it to melt. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the honey and lemon juice, stirring until well combined.
Coat the Salmon: Return the salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the honey butter sauce over them. Let the salmon cook in the sauce for 1-2 minutes, basting frequently, until the salmon is fully cooked and glazed with the sweet and spicy sauce.
Serve: Transfer the salmon fillets to a serving plate, drizzle with any remaining sauce, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot with your favorite sides like steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
