Chocolate-Dipped Cookie Dough Bites
Ingredients:
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated*
– 2 tablespoons milk
– 3/4 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
– 1 cup chocolate chips (for melting)
– 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smooth melting)
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and salt, mixing until well combined.
2. Gradually mix in the heat-treated flour, stirring until just incorporated. Add the milk to help bring the dough together.
3. Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
4. Roll the dough into small bite-sized balls and place them on a lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
6. Dip each chilled cookie dough bite halfway into the melted chocolate, then place it back on the lined baking sheet. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top if desired.
7. Let the chocolate set at room temperature or refrigerate for faster setting. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
*To heat-treat flour: Spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to kill any bacteria. Let it cool before using.
