Dill Pickle Grilled Cheese Delight
Ingredients:
– 4 slices sourdough or hearty white bread
– 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
– ½ cup shredded Swiss or Gruyère cheese
– ¼ cup sliced dill pickles (or more if you’re pickle-obsessed!)
– 1 tsp pickle juice (optional, for extra tang)
– ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
– Pinch of red pepper flakes (for heat, optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
3. Place a slice of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.
4. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on the bread, followed by Swiss or Gruyère cheese.
5. Arrange the sliced dill pickles on top of the cheese.
6. If desired, drizzle pickle juice and sprinkle garlic powder and red pepper flakes.
7. Top with the remaining bread slice, buttered side up.
8. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
9. Remove from the skillet and let it cool slightly before slicing.
10. Serve your ooey-gooey Dill Pickle Grilled Cheese hot and enjoy the tangy, cheesy goodness!
