Loaded Smoky Bacon Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 can (10.5 oz) cheddar cheese soup
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion over medium-high heat. Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess fat and stir in the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Now, in a large bowl, mix together the beef mixture, crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese. Spread that mixture evenly in the bottom of a casserole dish.
Top it all off with the frozen tater tots, arranging them in an even layer on top of the casserole. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
Pop that dish into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy. Once it’s out of the oven, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a little extra color. Serve it up, and enjoy this loaded, smoky, cheesy goodness!
