500 g fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and quartered

2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions: Prepare the strawberry puree:
Place the strawberries in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. If you prefer a smoother ice cream, strain the puree to remove the seeds.
In a small saucepan, mix the strawberry puree with half of the sugar. Cook over medium-low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the puree reduces slightly and thickens. Let it cool completely. Prepare the cream mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, milk, remaining sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
Add the cooled strawberry puree to the cream mixture and stir well to combine. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to chill thoroughly. Make the ice cream:
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Churn until creamy.
Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for an additional 2-3 hours to firm up before serving. Serve:
