Sweet and Savory One-Skillet Honey BBQ Beef and Cabbage Pasta .
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups shredded green cabbage
1 ½ cups pasta (penne or rotini)
1 ½ cups beef broth
½ cup BBQ sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent (about 2 minutes).
Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly softened.
Add the pasta, beef broth, BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.
Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce is well absorbed.
Remove from heat and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Cover and let sit for 2 minutes until melted.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
