Triple Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
– 1½ cups all-purpose flour
– 1½ cups granulated sugar
– ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1½ tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1 tsp salt
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup whole milk
– ½ cup vegetable oil
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 cup boiling water
– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped (for ganache)
– 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth, then stir in boiling water. The batter will be thin.
4. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 35 minutes.
5. For the ganache, heat heavy cream until simmering, then pour over chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth.
6. Once the cakes are cool, frost with ganache and enjoy!
